Our multicultural team includes Bahraini, Egyptian, Indian and British nationalities, and consists of five professional copywriters (four of whom are former senior journalists), and one graphic designer.
Tariq oversees Perceptions operations in the UAE and Bahrain. His previous experience includes agency and client-side PR, journalism and investment banking.
He was formerly Associate Director, PR & Corporate Communications at Ithmaar Bank, where he was also involved in the communication strategies of group companies Shamil Bank, First Leasing Bank and Ithmaar Development Company. Later he was transferred to investment banking, where he worked on private placements and later helped monitor several multi-million dollar investments.
Tariq’s previous PR experience includes freelance work for Promoseven, Webber Shandwick, and Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), among others. His earlier career in journalism also gives him strong insight into the requirements of the regional Press.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Maryland, and is also a certified hypnotherapist and psychotherapist.
Amy is a CIPR-trained professional with 13 years of experience in the Middle East. She takes a forward-looking approach to PR, recognising the enormous power that digital media holds in shaping public perceptions. She has managed projects for a range of industries, including government, manufacturing, banking & finance, retail, and technology clients. She previously served as Deputy Editor of Arabian Homes, a leading local real estate publication, and contributed to Business in Gulf and Gulf Insider. In addition to her responsibilities at Perceptions, she is an improv actor and instructor, and a published author.
Charlie is a CIPR-trained professional with 11 years of experience in the Middle East. Working closely with clients in industries as diverse as logistics, aviation, travel, and property development, he offers tailored advice designed to reach their specific target audiences. He also plays a proactive role in helping clients take their public relations activities to the next level through out of the box PR ideas aimed at enhancing brand awareness and broadening audience reach. He is a former journalist and held senior editorial positions with several of Bahrain’s leading English language publications.
Olfat Abdullah has worked as a copywriter and translator since 2001. She has served many of the most prestigious Perceptions accounts past and present, including Zain Bahrain, Ebrahim K. Kanoo, Bahrain Airport Company, Ithmaar Bank, Marassi Al Bahrain, Seef Properties, Eskan Bank, International Investment Bank—Bahrain, and Bahrain National Holding (BNH), to name a few. She previously worked as a freelance translator and counts some of the most renowned institutions and organisationsin the world as former clients. Olfat holds a bachelor's degree in architecture from the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University.
Channeling more than 10 years of experience in PR, ad copywriting, event management, reporting, and editing, Bahraini national, Mohammed develops strategies that help clients manage the perception of their brands. His communication insights have been valuable to a range of high-level public and private sector clients in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Bahrain. He is a professionally trained screenwriter, with one of his screenplays being produced into a feature length film in 2019. He has also written several short stories and self-published two books.
Anwaar's passion for culture and communication has led to her career in public relations, where she led a portfolio of diverse accounts including H.H Sheikha Bodour Al Qasimi, and worked across the corporate, fashion, art and beauty sectors. Anwaar completed her first Master degree in Cultural Projects for Developments at the University of Torino in Italy, her second Master degree in Business Administration at New York Institute of Technology and has worked at Dubai Culture and Arts Authority.
Miral Rizq has seven years of experience in graphic design and social media management for clients in Bahrain, the UAE, and Egypt, handling numerous accounts in the food, tech and SME startup industries.
She handles the company’s graphic work and supports its social media functions, working on the accounts of clients such as the Abu Dhabi Award for Excellence in Government Performance (ADAEP), Spring of Culture, Hala Bahrain, KKT Bahrain, and many more.
Miral holds a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Design from Bahrain Polytechnic, and is currently pursuing further studies in Psychology.
